Monday – Saturday 9 am to 6 pm
Why does the farm sometimes close early?
We will close early if we are picked over and have no ripe fruit left to pick. We may also close for inclement weather. Call (919) 303-0339 or check our Facebook page for updates to be sure we are open for picking before you come.
Are you allowing customers to pick their own strawberries this year?
We will offer two sizes of containers for you to pick into. You may purchase a 1-quart container for $6 or a 4-quart busket for $18. The price includes the container and the strawberries that you choose to put into it, there will be no discounts offered for partially filled containers.
How does the pick-your-own process work?
Walk down the row until you get to a flag. Begin picking and carry the flag with you as pick. Some days you will pick working your way out towards the trees; some days you will pick working your way back towards the stand. You will be told which direction to pick during check-in. When you are finished picking, stick your flag into the plastic row. This will serve as a marker for the next person to start picking.
If you reach the end of your row but you are not done picking, please plant your flag at the end of that row to mark that it is complete and find a different row to continue picking.
How can i reserve pre-picked strawberries?
Pre-picked strawberries can be ordered by calling 919 244-6947 or by visiting our new on-line store at https://shopbwf.square.site/ There is a standard 1 hour preparation time for quarts and a 2 hour preparation time for flats when ordering through our on-line store.
What is a “busket?”
A busket is a container with features similar to a basket and a bucket. Our busket is a 4-quart plastic picking container with vented sides and a metal handle.
